Set in 1930’s Vancouver, Passageway sketches the crucial moments of a love triangle between a prostitute, her client and his wife (Luciana). Shot on location in June 2003, the short film was written and directed by accomplished Canadian filmmaker Claudia Molina (find more of her shorts at FierceFeathers.com).
Passageway was screened at several film festivals in Canada, Germany and the United States in 2004 and 2005. Also, the short was nominated for an award by the Canadian Society of Cinematographers in 2004 ("Best Dramatic Short").
Premise
Esther, a prostitute working in Vancouver in the 1930’s is embroiled in a dangerous affair with Gianna, the beautiful and sensual wife of Juan – her best customer. Luciana's role
Luciana portrays Gianna, the young woman who has an affair with prostitute Esther, and who is married to Juan, a client of Esther's. Luciana appears in a series of scenes in the middle of the short, the majority of which show Gianna and Esther spending precious time together.
